Many Academy students come from a classical background and are working to develop creative freedom.
The Academy provides structured approaches to improvisation, ear training, and playing without sheet music.
Lessons/courses and live classes include coaching for those transitioning from “reading-only” to “learning by ear” and improvisation.
You will find some notated music in the Academy and you will also find some tunes, etudes, and challenges that are designed to be learned by ear and demonstration.
Group classes often include guided practice for ear training and improvisation. We grow in the skills we use.
Also, you can do this.
